RIBBON CUT FOR DES MOINES CHAMBERS OFFICE AT RDG
DES MOINES, IA – May 31, 2012 – The four Des Moines Chambers of Commerce celebrated their shared office space provided by RDG Planning & Design with a ribbon cutting to commemorate the new space on Thursday, May 24 at 5:00pm. Five pairs of oversized scissors cut one red ribbon to officially acknowledge the shared space. Holding the scissors were Troy Paterson, President of the East Des Moines Chamber, Tony Timm, President of the Des Moines Downtown Chamber, Jay Byers, CEO of the Greater Des Moines Partnership, Pat Beckerdite, President of the South Des Moines Chamber, and John Smith, President of the Des Moines West Side Chamber. Over one hundred community and chamber members attended the event.
Speaking at the event was Davis Sanders, Principal at RDG Planning & Design, as well as each Chamber’s president. Nine member businesses donated door prizes, food, and beverage to the event: Court Avenue Brewing Company, Crème Cupcake + Dessert, Bennigan’s, Flowerama/1-800-Flowers, Jasper Winery, Chocolaterie Stam, Star Bar, Gateway Market, and Renaissance Des Moines Savery Hotel. The four Chambers have a combined membership of 567 member businesses.
